Our Product Range

GWU-Lasertechnik Vertriebsges. mbH has more than 30 years of experience in non-linear optics. Starting as a distributor of non-linear optical crystals and laser accessories, it was subsequent to build laser products based on these components.

GWU is the pioneer of commercial BBO OPOs. Our first tunable nanosecond laser device was introduced in 1989 into the market. Today, our 5th generation of OPO devices are matured devices, serving even most demanding applications in science and industry. Besides the nanosecond product line, GWU has a wide ranging experience in the frequency conversion of ultrashort pulse lasers. With our harmonic generator series for tunable femto- and picosecond lasers the versatility of these devices can be vastly extended. Our portfolio is supplemented by DPSS lasers with wavelength extension as well as single mode fiber lasers and modular spectrometers.

GWU offers all common laser crystals and optical non-linear crystals with a broad variety of specifications. Besides the well-established materials, innovative crystals with outstanding properties are available. Crystals and optical components are manufactured by GWU’s partner Castech Inc. Periodically-poled frequency conversion crystals manufactured by HC Photonics provide the ability for high conversion efficiency even for cw and low power applications. The assortment of optical components is completed by windows, prisms, waveplates, polarizing optics and various standard items. High-quality isolators, acousto- and electro-optic devices can meet even demanding requirements. All laser components can be configured in flexible design, free-space or fiber-coupled and can be equipped with driving electronics.

No matter if individual pieces are required or cost-efficient numbers in in small, medium or large batches with in-time delivery are needed: GWU’s dedicated service helps to find the best core components for your application. As GWU is not only a distributor but also a well-known manufacturer of laser devices, a wide knowledge and in-field experience can be shared to the advantage of its customers.
