GWU-Lasertechnik offers all common laser crystals and standard non-linear crystals with a broad variety of specifications. Beside the well-established materials, there are innovative crystals available with outstanding properties for e. g. deep-UV generation or high-power ultrashort pulse lasers. Crystals and optical components are manufactured by GWU’s partner Castech Inc. GWU-Lasertechnik offers all common laser crystals and standard non-linear crystals with a broad variety of specifications. BBO Crystal

Beta-Barium Borate (β-BaB2O4 or BBO) is a widely used crystal providing high non-linear optical properties from the UV across the visible to the IR spectral range. Castech holds the specialized proprietary techniques (flux-method) for BBO crystal growth, ensuring the steady availability of high-quality crystals.

CLBO Crystal

Cesium Lithium Borate (CsLiB6O10, CLBO) is a newly developed crystal with excellent nonlinear UV features. Compared to BBO, it has a higher spectral and temperature acceptance, larger angle tolerance and smaller walk-off angle. The transparency ranges down to 180 nm. These advantages make CLBO a perfect material for UV and deep UV applications.

BiBO Crystal

Bismuth Triborate (BiB3O6, BiBO) is a newly developed crystal with high non-linearity perfectly suitable for e. g. the generation of visible light. No matter if individual pieces for R&D purposes are required or cost-efficient numbers in small, medium or large batches with in-time delivery for the production line are needed: GWU’s dedicated service helps to find the best core components for your application.

Lithium Triborate (LiB3O5 or LBO) is an excellent non-linear material for a broad variety of applications. Castech holds the exclusive rights to produce the patented LBO crystal and its NLO devices (patent number is 4,826,283 in USA, 2023845 in Japan and 88 1 02084.2 in China). No matter if individual pieces for R&D purposes are required or cost-efficient numbers in small, medium or large batches with in-time delivery for the production line are needed.

PPLN Chips

PLN bulk chips are available in a broad variety of configurations. For common laser applications more than 150 QPM gratings are on stock as standard items with fast shipping. This includes crystals for up-conversion (SHG/SFG) or down-conversion (DFG/OPA/OPG/OPO) with uniform, multiple and fan-out QPM structures.
