In this short video, we demonstrate the exceptional shot-to-shot wavelength switching capabilities of our Peacock OPO series. Leveraging our proprietary fast-tuning technology, the Peacock enables seamless, high-speed wavelength transitions across its full spectral range—without compromising stability or precision.
🔬 In the featured setup, the Peacock CFR scans from 680 nm to 2200 nm at up to 30 Hz, covering a spectral span of over 1500 nm in just 33 milliseconds.
This rapid wavelength agility significantly boosts sampling rates and reduces measurement times—accelerating research, diagnostics, and innovation in fields such as spectroscopy, imaging, and medical diagnostics.
🚀 For even broader coverage and higher speeds, our Peacock XT and Peacock XT-MW models extend the range from 405 nm to 2850 nm, with tuning frequencies up to 200 Hz.

Equipment:
- Peacock CFR 532Â tunable Laser-OPO system
- Optosky ATP2000P compact, high-resolution spectrometer (650–1100 nm detection range)
Procedure: To showcase fast scanning, six wavelengths between 680 nm and 930 nm are defined using the intuitive editor in our user interface—or imported from a predefined scan file. Once the scan is initiated, the Peacock emits light while simultaneously streaming real-time data, including wavelength and pulse energy.
The spectrometer operates in free-running mode. At 34 ms integration time, each laser pulse is captured individually. Increasing the integration to 200 ms reveals the full scanned spectrum in a single frame.
